Master of Athletic Training (MAT)

The Master of Athletic Training degree prepares students to become Certified Athletic Trainers (ATC®). The MAT program is “entry-level,” designed for students with a bachelor’s degree, but with minimal knowledge and experience in athletic training and who did not major in athletic training as
undergraduates. Graduates of CAATE*-approved programs are not eligible for admission.

*Commission on Accreditation on Athletic Training Education

** The Manchester University Master of Athletic Training program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). Only graduates of CAATE-accredited programs are eligible to take the BOC examination.
